DESCRIPTION
ASPAKI (Association of Indonesian Medical Device Manufacturers) and IMERI have carried out industry-university collaboration in producing Surgical Instruments. in 2015, we visited Sialkot City, the world's City of surgical instruments industry located in Pakistan along with PT Sugih Instrumentdo Abadi (ABN Surgical Instrument). The joint surgical instrument products between IMERI and ABN are Operation Scissors Straight, Mayo-hegar Needle Holders, Dissecting Forceps.
As a result of this collaboration, the surgical instrument has gone through a hardness and corrosion test by the Laboratory of Materials Testing (LUM) in Center For Materials Processing and Failure Analysis (CMPFA), Faculty of Engineering UI. Currently, collaborative surgical instruments are in the process of being explored so that they can be used in basic surgical skill-1 training by the Indonesian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (POGI).
To develop collaborative medical devices, INNOVATE representing IMERI is collaborating in the development of the Medical Science Techno Park with the Gakeslab (Association of Medical and Laboratory Equipment Companies) named IMEGA (IMERI-Gakeslab). It is a place that supports government collaboration with a university or industry with the intent of advancing knowledge and promoting technological and economic developments. IMEGA is expected to be able to serve medical device testing, Reverse engineering of medical devices, Marketing coach for medical devices, Training and consultation business plans.
